Best YouTube Channels for APs
Studying for AP exams can be difficult, especially during that final cram week. Luckily, for almost every AP exam, there is at least one YouTube channel/platform that can help you get that 5. Here is a list of some that the CramWeek team recommends.
1. AP Statistics
For AP Statistics, we recommend two platforms: Michael Porinchak’s YouTube channel and Khan Academy. Michael Porinchak’s unit review videos are great for well-versed, efficient, and quick learning. Not only that, but in his videos, Porinchak goes through very specific types of questions that almost always show up on the real exam. For any concept you are struggling to comprehend and in need of a deeper explanation of, Khan Academy is the place to go. Watching Khan Academy’s lectures and solving the related questions afterward guarantees a thorough understanding of any stats concept.
2. AP Government, AP Geography, Any AP History
Heimler’s History has become a household name among AP students—a title well deserved. Heimler’s History’s YouTube channel is the way to go when it comes to any AP history, geography, or government. His unit review videos cover everything, in a memorable way, that will come up on your exam. If you aren’t cramming or want to delve deeper, he also offers videos on the subtopics of each unit. His channel has it all!
3. AP Biology
The APsolute RecAP is an amazing YouTube channel for AP Biology. Their videos make difficult concepts and ideas understandable and memorable, crucial for AP Biology. Their revisions and unit summaries are another great tool, especially for last-minute revision. Not only that, but they offer the same content on their podcast on Spotify!
4. AP Macroeconomics & Microeconomics
Jacob Clifford’s YouTube videos aren’t just great for learning the content, they are extremely enjoyable! He has many videos (unit summaries and conceptual explanations) on everything covered on both of the AP economics exams. If you are someone who gets easily tired of studying, give Jacob Clifford a chance; his teaching style might keep you interested.
5. Any APs
For any and all AP exams, we always recommend the College Board’s official videos. While these videos are lengthy and require a good amount of time to go through, they are created and taught by official AP graders. Their comments and insights are very valuable to keep in mind for the real exams, so these videos will be worth the time you allocate to them. You can access these videos, enroll in an AP exam, and they will be available to you on AP Classroom.
It is important to remember that there are many resourceful and insightful content creators and teachers out there. We encourage you to explore and find creators who foster your learning.
